Application Areas : | Marine observation |
Deepwater buoys, as important equipment for Marine observation, resource exploration and military applications, their core performance directly depends on the advancement of buoyancy materials. Solid buoyancy materials, due to their high specific strength, pressure resistance stability and lightweight characteristics, have become the key technology to support the reliable operation of deepwater buoys in extreme environments.
Solid buoyancy material is a lightweight and high-strength material composed of hollow glass microspheres and epoxy resin matrix. Its density can be as low as 0.36-0.7g/cm³, its compressive strength reaches 110MPa, and its water pressure resistance exceeds 10,000 meters in water depth. Deepwater buoys need to operate stably for a long time at depths of several thousand meters and face challenges such as high pressure, low temperature and ocean current impact, solid buoyancy materials can meet the requirements.
