The design of subsea cable floats usually adopts a modular structure. The internal solid buoyancy material is required to have low density, high closed-cell rate and low water absorption rate, and the exterior is sprayed with polyurea elastomer.
Solid buoyancy materials are the core functional carriers of subsea cable floats, and their performance directly affects the reliability of the entire system.
